The New MyChart Portal
As part of the new system described below, our old portal will be replaced by the new portal, MyChart. This requires action on your part to have the new MyChart portal activated. To activate your account, click MyChart Activation and follow the simple instructions. Unfortunately, we are not able to simply move you to the new MyChart without this step. Rest assured I have raised cane about this inconvenience to you!

With mixed feelings, I am pleased to announce that Novant Health is catching up to us! As you will learn, the entire Novant Health organization is moving to an enterprise wide electronic health record (EHR). We are converting to the new system today so bare with us as we learn how to squeeze mileage out of the new program. Over the years, I have learned that when a patient is having the kitchen remodeled or they are undergoing a "conversion" at their office I am going to be writing Valium prescriptions because of the anxiety created. We are going through the "conversion" so please be aware that you will be slightly inconvenienced in the process.
We have been using an EHR for the past 9 years. However, instead of doing an electronic date interchange of our records, we have to convert them to PDF's and scan them to the new chart! Manual reentry of much of the information is necessary and the process has abundant opportunity for error. Please speak up with confidence if you think there is an error. I am always glad to double check anything. Medicine is a tough and unforgiving mistress so we will work diligently to make this process seamless for you.
